What is the XT2 designed for?
The XT2 is built for outdoor journeys — everyday off-road and outdoor urban environments like pathways, tracks, grass, and gravel — letting you see and do more than ever before.
How is the XT2 different from a mid-wheel drive chair?
It uses a long-wheelbase rear-wheel drive layout with fully independent front and rear suspension, giving it added stability, especially over longer distances and uneven ground.
How far can I travel on a single charge?
The XT2 is built for all-day range. Its large-capacity batteries and powerful rear-wheel drive motors are designed to keep you moving at top speed, uphill and down, for as long as you need — most users will run out of energy before the chair does.
How fast does it go?
Top speed is 10 km/h (6.2 mph), reducing to 5 km/h (3.1 mph) when the seat is fully elevated.
How does the suspension work?
Front and rear wheels sit on independently pivoting arms that follow the contours of the ground. This keeps all four wheels planted even at higher speeds over uneven surfaces, for a smoother, more stable ride.
What makes the steering different?
The XT2 combines differential wheel speeds with an industry-leading servo steering module, controlled by an intuitive joystick — delivering precise, responsive control at any speed, including reverse.
What color options are available?
Choose from two vibrant colors or sleek Midnight Black. Body panels are aerodynamically styled, injection-molded, and easily detachable for maintenance or replacement.
Can it go in water?
No. The XT2 has an IP54 motor rating (splash-resistant, not waterproof) and must never be driven through water, rivers, creeks, or the sea.
Is the XT2 crash tested for vehicle transit?
Yes. It's compliant with crash-test tie-down standards and meets Australian Standards 3696 and ISO 7176.
Where is the XT2 made?
It's proudly designed, engineered, and manufactured in Melbourne, Australia, where Magic Mobility has built all-terrain powerchairs since 1994.
Is the XT2 available where I live?
It's currently available for trial in Australia and New Zealand, with global launch planned for 2025 — check the Magic Mobility website for updates on availability in your region.
