You can use our dynamic BodyMoveTM technology as a first line of defense against tissue injury. The body naturally lengthens while shifting from lying flat to sitting up in bed. Empresa's BodyMove auto-regression technology takes into account this modification, which not only aids in pressure distribution but also boosts comfort.

When moving from a supine to sitting position in bed, the body naturally lengthens. Empresa’s BodyMoveTM auto-regression feature accommodates this change, so not only does it help with pressure distribution, it helps improve comfort too. With all essential clinical features to aid safe nursing and residents’ independence, the Empresa bed has people at the heart of its design.

Test results showed a 23% reduction in average pressure over the sacral area with the Empresa BodyMove technology, when compared to a standard nursing bed.3

Ergonomic handling

A comfortable to hold handset with a simple one-touch operation, activates pre-programmed care and comfort positions, as well as other profiling options. And with safety top of mind too, there is a lockout function to prevent unauthorised and inadvertent use, and an auto safety stop, inhibiting the bed from being lowered to below 200 mm.

Helping ensure effortless manoeuvrability and even greater levels of safety, the Empresa bed also comes equipped with eight castors and our UniSafe™ braking system. Moving the bed around the room couldn’t be easier and it takes only a single press of a pedal to secure each set of brakes.

Key information

• Bed raises to 800 mm, enabling carers to complete care tasks at an appropriate height
• Low head and footboards enable access for care tasks, such as hair care and lower limb dressing
• Low head and footboards facilitate access to sliding sheets at the head or foot of the bed, allowing a single carer to reposition a person up or down the bed
• Standard width mattress platform is compatible with most mattress systems
• Choice of bed rails, all designed to be compliant with latest safety standards. Suitable for foam and active mattresses; distance from top of the rail to the mattress is 220 mm, even with a deep-cell air mattress of up to 205 mm
• No trailing wires. Wires fix securely to the bed frame, reducing the risk of damage and allowing  safe use of a mobile hoist
• Plug and play motors, making maintenance easy
• Backrest elevation function can assist with transfers and offer a range of movement for the user. The raised position enables easier eye contact resulting in better social interaction. In some cases, it may reduce fluid build-up in the lungs, facilitate improved respiratory function and assist with swallowing
• Knee break function enables users to retain their position more easily as it can reduce the risk of the user slipping down in the bed. The function may also help to reduce fluid and pressure in legs and ankles.
