Just prior to Christmas I was very happy to take delivery of a new Freedom wheelchair. Lovely Maria had let me have a “test drive” about six months prior and I had been very impressed with it. As happens in a world of interruptions, it took six months to get me well, all paperwork completed and NDIS funding approved and I now have the freedom of my lovely new Freedom chair. I bought a Merits 14 P330 from Mobility Joy. I am extremely happy with it. A magnificent machine. Stability better than I could have hoped for. I had an accident on it where I went off the footpath onto the road. The kerb was about 18 to 20CM high. The front offside wheel went off first followed by the other three. It did not roll but righted itself. I don't think many other machines would have had anywhere near the stability of this machine. I would recommend it to anyone needing a good stable chair. The husband and wife who run Mobility Joy were extremely helpful and friendly without any pressure selling. I was able to test ride a number of scooters and chairs before settling on the Merits. Would also recommend Mobility Joy for anyone wanting mobility equipment.
